Close your books in minutes: the Timeo sales statement for tax and bookkeeping

Download an itemised sales statement for any period from Timeo: every item, plan, and package sold, payments by method, refunds, SST, and totals that reconcile. Built for Malaysian tax season and MyInvois.

Tax season for a small Malaysian business usually means a shoebox of receipts and a bookkeeper asking questions you cannot answer. Timeo keeps the answer ready all year: every sale is itemised as it happens, and you can download a statement for any period in one click.

What the sales statement gives you

Go to Reports, Sales, pick a period (today, this month, this quarter, or any custom range), and download the Statement CSV. It contains, in one file:

  • Every item sold, line by line: date and time, order number, item name, quantity, unit price, line total, and the customer where known.
  • Plans and packages sold in their own section, so membership revenue is separated from product and service revenue, the way your accountant wants it.
  • Payments received by method (cash, card, DuitNow QR, e-wallet) and refunds issued with reasons.
  • Totals that reconcile: gross sales, discounts, SST, service charge, tips, total billed, collected, refunded, and net. The numbers add up to the same figures as your daily Z-report.

A month-end routine that takes five minutes

  1. Close each day with the Z-report as usual (your daily cash-up).
  2. On the 1st, download last month’s Statement CSV and the aggregated sales CSV.
  3. Send both to your bookkeeper or drop them into your accounting software. Done.

Because the statement is generated from the same orders and payments your POS recorded, there is no re-typing and no “where did this number come from?”. If a sale was refunded, it shows as sold and refunded, so the net is honest.

Built with MyInvois in mind

LHDN’s e-invoicing rollout means clean, itemised records stop being optional. Keeping every sale itemised in Timeo now makes the transition mechanical rather than painful. See our MyInvois rollout guide for who needs to comply and when.
