Account & Data Deletion

You can delete your Timeo account and associated personal data at any time. This page is referenced from the Google Play Store listing as the official data deletion resource.

Option 1 — Delete from within the app (fastest)

  1. Open the Timeo customer app or the Timeo Staff app.
  2. Go to Profile → Settings → Privacy.
  3. Tap Delete my account.
  4. Confirm by typing DELETE and tap Confirm.

Your account is deactivated immediately. Personal data is permanently deleted within 30 days, subject to the retention exceptions below.

Option 2 — Delete from the web dashboard

  1. Sign in at timeo.my.
  2. Open Settings → Account → Delete account.
  3. Follow the on-screen confirmation steps.

Option 3 — Email request

Send an email to privacy@timeo.my from the address registered to your account. Include:

  • Subject line: Account deletion request.
  • Your full name and the phone number on your account.
  • The app(s) you use: customer, staff, or web dashboard.

We verify requests within 3 business days and complete deletion within 30 days. You will receive a confirmation email when deletion is complete.

What gets deleted

  • Profile data: name, email, phone, photo, saved preferences.
  • Bookings as the customer of record (merchant-side booking records are anonymised).
  • Push notification tokens and device identifiers.
  • Support chat history.
  • Uploaded files and images you own.

What we retain and why

We retain the following for a limited time to comply with the law or to protect our legitimate interests:

  • Financial records — receipts, invoices, tax records: 7 years (required by the Malaysian Inland Revenue Board).
  • Fraud & abuse signals — hashed device fingerprints of banned accounts: up to 2 years.
  • Aggregated analytics — anonymised, not traceable to you: retained indefinitely.

If you are a merchant / business owner

Deleting a business account also deactivates staff accounts and removes customer records you control. Give at least 30 days' notice to customers with upcoming bookings.
