How does a gym door access system know who is a paying member?

Timeo Gate is part of the same system that sells the membership. Every scan is checked against the member’s packages at that moment, so the door opens for an active member and refuses everyone else with the reason on screen.

What happens when a membership expires?

You choose in settings. The door can stop opening the moment the package ends, or keep working for a short grace period (7 days by default) so a member who renews late is not stuck outside. Nobody has to remember to deactivate a card.

Can I run a 24 hour gym with it?

Yes. The reader decides on its own, without staff at the desk, and every entry is written to your door log. You can also release the door remotely from the Hardware page in the console.

How membership linked entry works

A member scans at the door with the app, a card or their face.
Timeo checks their packages at that moment, in your gym's timezone.
An active member is let in and the entry lands in your door log.
Anyone else is refused, with the reason on the reader screen, such as No active package.

Three ways in

App QR pass

Members show the pass in the Timeo app. It refreshes every minute, so a screenshot shared in a group chat does not open the door. Apple Wallet and Google Wallet passes work too.

NFC member card

For members who prefer a card. Tap a 13.56 MHz card on the reader and pick it in the member profile to register it.

Face recognition

On supported face terminals and face turnstiles. A member is let in by face once their face photo is enrolled and approved.

Expired members are blocked automatically

With a standalone card system, someone has to deactivate the card when a member stops paying, and that step is easy to miss. In Timeo the door reads the membership itself. When the package ends, entry stops, either straight away or after a grace period you set (7 days by default). When the member renews, in the app or at your counter, the same card and the same QR work again with nothing to reset.

Setup in three steps

Tell us the door. Which door, which lock, where the router is. We register the reader to your gym before it ships.
Your electrician wires it. Power supply, maglock and exit button, following the installation guide, written colour by colour for the electrician.
