We hire when we meet someone exceptional.
There is no headcount plan and no urgency here. Everything below is an open application. If you are clearly better at one of these than we are, we will find the budget and the seat.
What you would be working on
Timeo is the system Malaysian gyms, fitness studios and salons run on: memberships and session packs, class booking, the counter POS, FPX and card payments into the business's own account, WhatsApp automations, door-access hardware and a member app. It is in daily use at real gyms, which means the person affected by a bad decision is someone you can call.
The stack, honestly: Next.js and React with TypeScript, Postgres with Drizzle, Flutter for three apps, Docker on our own servers, Billplz and Stripe for money, LHDN e-Invoice, and ESP32-class readers on gym doors.

Full time, Malaysia or remote in a nearby timezone
Whole features, from the Postgres schema to the screen a gym owner taps at 7am. Recently: importing a gym’s members together with their live packages, plan-gated classes, and the door-access decision shared by four families of reader hardware.
- You read the code before proposing the fix, and you write the test that fails first.
- You have shipped something that handles money, and you remember what went wrong.
- TypeScript, Postgres and a React framework are tools you already argue about.
Not a fit if you need a spec handed to you, or you have never had a user on the phone.

The member app on the App Store and Google Play, and TimeoPro, our POS on iPad and Android tablets. Store releases, over-the-air patches, and the parts of the experience that have to work in a gym basement with no signal.
- You have shipped Flutter to both stores and survived an App Store rejection.
- You have debugged something that only happened on a real device.
- A screen at 390px wide with a horizontal scrollbar offends you.
Not a fit if you have only built apps that assume a good network and a fresh device.

Getting a gym from "we signed up" to "our members book in the app", usually inside a week: cleaning their spreadsheet, importing members with their live packages, setting up plans and classes, training the front desk, and being the person they message when something looks wrong.
- English and Bahasa Malaysia, fluently. Mandarin or Cantonese is a real plus.
- You are unreasonably comfortable in a spreadsheet.
- You answer a worried owner with what you already checked, not with a question back.
Not a fit if you think of support as closing tickets.

Part time or contract, travel within Peninsular Malaysia
Door-access installs at gyms: mounting the reader, wiring it to the lock or turnstile, network and power, pairing it to the business, and proving a lapsed member is actually refused before you leave.
- You have wired access control or CCTV, and you own a multimeter.
- You are comfortable on a ladder and in a comms cabinet.
- You can explain to an owner why their door frame needs a different bracket.
Not a fit if you have only done this on paper.

One design language across the web console, the member app and the POS. Screens a front-desk person uses two hundred times a day, and a member uses once a week.
- You design inside the real constraints: one hand, 390px, a queue at the counter.
- You ship production CSS or Flutter, or work so closely with whoever does that it makes no difference.
- Portfolio over credentials.
Not a fit if your work is mostly unshipped concepts.

- You can demo the product without an engineer beside you.

- A conversation, usually within the week. We reply to everyone, including a no.
- A small paid work sample, three hours at most, on something real rather than a puzzle.
- A day with us, paid, then an offer or an honest no.
